Solar and Eclipse Settled Into Their New Furever Home

031
These photos of Solar and Eclipse were sent to me this week by their wonderful mom and dad.  I CAN NOT tell you how thrilled I am to see them so happy and comfortable in their new home.  I am so grateful for these pictures!  They will really help me enjoy my time in Hawaii even more.

Fostering can be such a wonderful experience :)

I hope everyone is doing well! 048

Aloha!

037Last Tuesday I flew about 5,000 miles to the Big Island of Hawaii.  It took nearly 24 hours for me to reach my final destination!  I am here for a 4 week long Yoga retreat and will hopefully be a certified Yoga instructor at the end.  I am staying deep in the rain forest and the sounds are beautiful - great to sleep to!  They truly are just as good as the tapes or machines you buy to help you sleep.  It is a VERY intense and busy schedule here, but I will try to tape it.

Here is the view outside my room:

There is a great panoramic view of the rain forest :)

I miss my pets SO much, but my husband is home with them and I talk to him and even some of them daily.  I will try to post more photos as time goes on, but all of my energy is truly being directed at this endeavor.

Thanks so much for reading and I hope everyone is doing well!!!

Solar and Eclipse, Mexico and Perhaps a Goodbye

As if anybody didn't know, I've already broken my resolution to be a better blogger.  BUT I've had the flu, my daughter was here from Vermont visiting, and I was taking care of Solar and Eclipse who both had upper respiratory infections.  If that's not enough for my lame excuses, I've been working on our local shelter's Petfinder web site and I just started working on our local SPCA web site:  Http://www.spcahernando1.org

I am so happy to report that Solar and Eclipse are doing really well after one week in their new home.  Their new mom sent me this lovely photo of them:

Eclipse and Solar
Their mom called and said that they are both feeling better and left this lovely comment on my web site:

Thank you Michelle and David for helping us to adopt
Solar and Eclipse. What a wonderful addition and blessing to our family! We just love them both!

I am SO happy!!!

OK onto this week's grump test combined with some silly photos from our cruise to Mexico.

065 Almost got sacrificed at the Chochoban Ruins in Costa Maya ;)

070 Luckily I made it back to the ship safely for one of many incredible dinners!

Our state room attendant had a great sense of humor :)
022 I was not a happy camper in the above photo!!!  As a matter of fact my husband wanted me to title this photo "Paris Hilton in the jungle".  For the record I am not a fan of Paris!  However, I got COVERED with dirt and everyone in our caravan drove like maniacs.  These jeeps tip over easily and we had to wait on a couple that did :/

This is not good bye forever...at least for any longer than usual anyway.  I am probably leaving for several weeks in the next couple of days provided my flu stays away.  Stay tuned for details, but think thousands of miles away from home (Florida), rain forest, and Pacific Ocean.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope all of my readers are staying healthy during this cold and flu season!

Almost Impossible To Say Goodbye ~ Even After Only 9 Days

Solar and Eclipse went to their furever (hopefully) home today. Their new mom is a nurse and their dad is retired.  Their new family recently lost a Himalayan Persian after having her for nineteen and a half years

Their return policy is any time with no questions asked.

Thank you to all of my wonderful readers for being so loyal.  No grump test this week.  I will be focusing on catching up on all of my favorite blogs. 010

My New Himalayan Persian Fosters ~ They Are Exquisite, but Unfortunately Declawed

They are five year old brothers and need to be adopted together.

My dear frend Duni predicted I would take them in :)
