A Gift For Our Cats =^..^=
July 25, 2009
It's a pet stroller we got at Petco. That's me taking Coco for a walk. We have a very quiet neighborhood with virtually no traffic. Only trouble is at this time of year is the heat! I really have to wait until the sun goes down as I am NOT an early riser and it SO hot and humid here all day everyday.
A few people asked where I found our "chair hammock" you can see a couple of posts down. I have only seen anything like it in one place so here is the phone number to Patio Paradise where we bought it:
352 597-4270
I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!
Woohoo! A stroller! Strollering is so much fun. It is too hot for us to go strollering here, too, even when we get up at sunrise. And my Mommie said the biting bugs are too bad. So I cannot wait for cooler weather to drag the stroller out again.
Have fun with your new stroller!

Oh my days I have to show this to my Sister. She has one fat humongous cat that is sooooooooooooooo cute and it's a bit lazy so taking it out in one of those will be awesome!

What a cute little stroller! It's nice that you live in a quiet neighborhood. Here it's been much cooler then normal and very dry too! Hope you have a fantastic weekend.

Hi Michelle!
I am so relieved your received your package. I would be immensely honoured about a feature on the bag on your wonderful blog. Yay! Thank you so much!
Hubby and I love that pet stroller! What a cool idea. I've seen nothing like it over here in Germany.
And how about we 'swap' the weather? LOL
big hugs,

Using a stroller? Doesn't that defeat the point of taking a animal for a walk because they need the exercise, or to stretch their legs because they've been indoors etc.?
Thanks for posting the number for the chair. I've made a note of it.

That is a super idea. Bet the cats enjoy it too.
And thanks so much for leaving me a comment on my blog. I appreciate it.

@ Sandy
If you had read my blog before you would have realized Coco has Lymphoma. We are very protective of her. I live in Florida where there are a lot of bugs. That is the main reason we use a stroller not to mention protection from dogs and other predators. We play laser light and fetch all the time to give our animals the exercise they need inside.

Thanks Maria for explaining. I'm sorry to hear about Coco's situation. I'm not a pet owner; but have enjoyed seeing your photo's in my frequent drops here. Finally had to time to read just a bit; but as you say; not having read previously (other then the hammock chair), was unaware. I've never seen anyone use a stroller for a pet.
Yes it's so humid there in Florida bugs would be an issue.
Now you've got me curious. As you've looked around, have you ever come across a combination type stroller? Something that would work for a child and a pet at the same time? I ask because here you often see people trying to do both, and having difficulty with no enough hands etc.
Sandy
thanks for swinging by to give me a heads up, it's appreciated.

@ Sandy
I haven't seen a stroller for pets and children. This was the last one at Pet co for pets. I bet someone could "fashion" from a stroller used for two or more children.
I know it's not common to see an animal in a baby carriage, lol :)

Does Coco like riding in the stroller? I doubt if I could even get my cat to go in it. I couldn't get him into the carrier to take him to the vet--he hates being picked up and squirms so much I can't hold on to him! He thinks he's so smart. You can read about his stubbornness here:
http://karen.pnn.com/articles/show/48876-no-no-i-won-t-go-by-manny. I think my Spunky Doodle might like to go for a ride outside, I'm not sure. We do have a lot of barking dogs on our street that I don't think she would like but maybe just in the yard would be fun.

I love this pic, we also take our cats out for walks in a similar 'make shift' stroller. they love it, and alot of folks stop us amazed about taking our cats out on a stroll. Finally someone else doing it YEAH!
